Garth has over 10 years experience of working in both the private and public sectors.
In the latter he had a dual role as both a landscape designer and a landscape officer. This entailed public consultation as well as the project management, specification and implementation of a variety of public landscape schemes such as streetscapes, play areas, heritage restoration, education parks, and a new 1.4ha community park. His officer role was to assess and critique submitted landscape proposals for a range of urban developments, appropriately advising development management, councillors, applicants and other internal and external stakeholders on trees and landscape matters.
Garth has worked in a number of private practices during his career, gaining a wide range of project-based experience; this includes residential, commercial, industrial, leisure, private garden and public realm developments through all stages of the design process. Garth also has hands-on experience in landscape contracting where he obtained a strong understanding of landscape construction from a practical perspective, as well as an eye for detail and quality of workmanship.
